Today’s announcement by the Ministry of Labour with regards to permits of foreign nationals as also seen on https://www.pio.gov.cy/ανακοινωθέντα-άρθρο.html?id=12866#flat.
“The Department of Labor announces that as part of the measures taken to limit the spread of Coronavirus, existing aliens employment permits will renew automatically for one (1) year and the relevant approvals will be sent to employers.
Therefore, there is no need to submit any applications. It is understood that the renewals of approvals will concern foreigners already employed by businesses on a yearly basis.
Please note that existing Aliens employment contracts will be extended until the expiry of the approval that will be sent to you.
Should any problems arise with the non-renewal of foreign staff approval, the Department of Labor should be notified at director@dl.mlsi.gov.cy.”
