The Ministry of Health, for public health reasons and aiming to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus COVID-19, especially in vulnerable groups of the population, has arranged the possibility of carrying out the new coronavirus laboratory test in groups of patients and citizens as indicated in the table below:

Accessibility to the test can also be arranged in various other case as well, even in an individual case, if deemed necessary by the Epidemiology Monitoring Unit and Infectious Diseases, by the 1420 service or by the Public Health Centres Coordination Service for public health reasons.
After receiving the relevant certificate, the Public Health Centres Coordination Service shall proceed with the planning and briefing of the people interested for the immediate of the test at the various Public Health District Medical Centres. The results of the laboratory test shall be communicated to the attending doctor.
The carrying out of the programme described above will be regularly monitored by a central authority, so that the implementation of the defined procedures remains secured.
It should be noted that the procedure for the carrying out of the test and the announcement of the results after the sample has been taken needs about 1-2 days to be completed. Consequently, the attending doctors have to ensure that the people that are going to take the test will be redirected within the appropriate time frame.
