CIBA is pleased to announce that it is supporting the proposal for the establishment of a Transport Analytics Centre of Excellence (TrACE) in Cyprus, through the WIDESPREAD-2017, TEAMING Horizon 2020 programme.

The transportation industry is enormous, encompassing everything in terms of movement of both people and goods locally, regionally and internationally by land, sea and air, which are involved either as operators or users thousands of businesses. Thus, the role of the new Centre further to promoting research and innovation actions for the relevant sector is to create links with the business sector and exploit, when possible, its outputs through the creation of innovative start-ups. The “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” Unit of the new Centre will have this clear aim which is very relevant with our organization’s activities. Therefore, we anticipate having a very close collaboration with the proposed Centre in order create, when relevant, a strong linkage between the international businesses in Cyprus and the new Centre with the intention to facilitate economic growth and development.
