The Supreme Court reassessing the current information and the relevant decrees from the authorities as well as the draft guide HERE (in Greek) for the opening of the courts from the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit of the Ministry of Health having taken into account the views of both local as well as the Pancyprian Lawyer associations has decided the following:
- As of Monday 05/04/2020 normal operations of the Court Registrar will occur.
- The Courts of First Instance will proceed with programming for hearing the legal cases under their responsibility so that they can be further processed.
- As regards the Supreme Court, case trials will be proceeding as per decisions by Presidents of the relevant case courts. The relevant parties will be informed accordingly.
Judges’ vacations will be limited to August to enable the processing of delayed cases due to the Coronavirus crisis and the subsequent suspension in the trial of legal cases.
