The Cyprus International Business Association (CIBA) would like to announce the recruitment of Mr. Andreas Pishias as its General Secretary, as of 18th February 2019.
Mr. Pishias, has extensive multi-country experience having worked with international research agencies as well as major multinationals both in Europe and the Middle East throughout his professional 20-year career. He brings into CIBA an international mindset, being able to relate with both our association members and local stakeholders.
As General Secretary, his primary aim will be to represent CIBA members’ interest in all levels as formulated by the Association’s Executive Committee.
Of equal importance will be the increased forging of the relationship between CIBA and its members. CIBA’s relevance as an association depends on its ability to capture the needs of its members and represent them as well as offering solutions where possible through its members’ network. This is a task which as General Secretary he will be asked to carry out on an ongoing basis.
BIOGRAPHY
Andreas Pishias completed his undergraduate degree in Hotel & Catering Management working in the hospitality industry both in the UK and Switzerland. He followed this up with Post Graduate studies in the University of Surrey’s Management School (S.E.M.S) gaining his Master’s Degree in Management Studies.
Andreas’ career has involved constant contact with the international business environment. He has worked at an international level as Business Development Manager with multinational research agencies either based in Cyprus or on an expatriate basis. His experience covers Central and Eastern European Markets as well as the Middle East and North Africa supporting major multinationals such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and other blue-chip companies.
Andreas has worked as Regional Commercial Manager for H.J.Heinz covering selected markets in Europe, the Mediterranean and the U.S. Thereafter, he has worked as a consultant advising companies in relation to business expansion in foreign markets.
An expert relationship builder, Andreas Pishias looks to serve the interests of the International Business community here in Cyprus and actively promote CIBA in its role of bringing international business closer both with the local community, the government and with each other.
