The Ministry of Health has announced the process to be followed for the testing of personnel going back to work on February 8th here in Greek.
In order to ensure the smooth reopening of companies and professions, in the context of the strategy for the gradual restart of society and the economy, a national testing program is carried out with rapid antigen test of workers returning to their workplace. According to the plan for the gradual lifting of the restrictive measures, the testing of the employees who will be reactivated on February 8 starts on Tuesday, February 2nd.
Following the decisions of the Council of Ministers and in accordance with strategy of de-escalation the restrictive measures, on February 8, the retail businesses personnel, the teachers and the staff of the Primary Schools and the teachers who teach high school and technical students as well the staff of museums and archeological sites return to work. In total, about 80,000 people are expected to be reactivated.
Therefore, and in order to be able to control all employees who will return to their workplace, the employees have been grouped alphabetically based on their last name. Therefore, the Testing Stations will serve the employees listed above, as follows:
Date | Surname
Greek Alphabet |
Surname
Latin Alphabet |
Tuesday 2nd February | Α – Γ | A – D |
Wednesday 3rd February | Δ – Ι | E – I |
Thursday 4th February | Κ – Λ | J – M |
Friday 5th February | Μ – Ο | N – R |
Saturday 6th February | Π – Σ | S – V |

Employees are encouraged to adhere to the above alphabetical grouping so that the program is organized and avoids overcrowding and hassle. Those employees who do not go for an examination according to the above alphabetical grouping, should be examined by Monday, February 8, since a condition for returning to work is the presentation of a negative result of a rapid test.
