Following a meeting on Monday April 12th, between CIBA, ICPAC, CYFA and the Cyprus Bar Association with the Minister of Commerce, Energy and Industry, Mrs Natasa Pilidou, and the Registrar of Companies as well the Deputy Ministry of Innovation and other government representatives on the above issue, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry and the Registrar of Companies announce the following:
The submission of data onto the electronic service “Registration of beneficial owner particulars” is possible in the following ways:
- From the Officials (natural and legal persons) of a company (IMPLEMENTATION DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED)
- From the Legal Entity itself through the creation of a corporate profile (IN FORCE see Guidance, Part II).
Both ways require the creation and identification of the profile (account) on the “Ariadne” system (CY Login service).
Creation and identification of the profile:
The creation of the profile is done online through the CY Login service of the Ariadne system.
The identification of the profiles of the officials who are natural persons can be achieved either Online via e-banking (through the website of Ariadne), or by physical presence in the following CSC and KE.PO that operate nationwide by arranging a telephone appointment.
The identification of the profiles of legal entities can be done only by physical presence in the following CSC and KE.PO that operate nationwide by arranging an appointment by telephone.
It is emphasized that, in case a natural or a legal person is appointed as an official in many companies, this person will be able to submit in the system the details of the beneficial owners of all the companies in which he serves.

Additional physical identification centres will soon operate in the Provincial Offices of the Ministry (Larnaca / Famagusta, Limassol and Paphos) as well as in the Department of Registrar of Companies in Nicosia. For these centres, an announcement will be issued by the Department regarding the procedure as well as the hours during which the applications will be accepted.
It is also announced that the submission period of the data of beneficial owners is extended until 12.3.2022. A relevant Amending Directive will be issued soon by the Registrar of Companies.
