We’re pleased to announce that Mrs. Doxia Nikia, Director of D.D. Fidelity Associates Ltd., has been appointed as the new President of CIBA, effective immediately.
Mrs. Doxia Nikia who has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2007, joins a long line of successful past presidents of the Association, but is the FIRST WOMAN to hold office. We are certain that Doxia’s many years of experience in the international business sector of Cyprus, along with her excellent understanding of the current economic, fiscal and financial situation in Cyprus today, along with her positive and pleasant personality will bring forth new ideas and a new strategy for the Association, which will enhance not only the profile of CIBA, but that of its members driving the association to the next level, building on the solid foundations achieved by our past presidents.
We are at the same time sad to see our very well respected and charismatic past President, Mr. Frixos Savvides step down, especially after all the knowledge, accomplishments and recognition he has given to the Association over 9 years in office. We cannot thank him enough for his leadership and contribution to CIBA. Subsequently, we have created an honorary position of Ex-Officio President on the Board for Mr. Frixos Savvides for the length of the term of the new President, which we are very happy to announce that he has accepted.
