TAX Department Announcement on working times for supporting the General Public

The Tax Department informs that, in the context of the implementation of the measures to limit the spread of coronavirus, it has made special arrangements for the service of the public, in order to avoid overcrowding.

These special arrangements apply to the period from 18 May 2020 until the end of May 2020 during which, in addition to daily service (8: 30-14: 30), there will be an extended service hours every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between hours 14: 30-17: 30 in specific places, as follows:

• Debt Payment and Receipt / Delivery of Direct Tax Documents

The payment of overdue debts as well as the receipt / delivery of documents to and from the Department, will take place at the local District Tax Collection Offices except for the District Office of Famagusta, where ONLY receipt and delivery of documents will take place, NO payments.

• Receipt and Delivery of VAT Documents

The receipt / delivery of VAT documents will take place at the local District VAT Offices.

• VAT Exemption Certificates (Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations)

The receipt of applications and the delivery of the relevant certificates will take place at the offices of the VIMA sector at 29 Katsoni Street, Nicosia, 5th floor.

It is pointed out that visits to the offices of the Department are allowed only in cases where it is not possible to be served by phone or by sending e-mails, according to the announcement of the Department dated 30/4/2020 HERE in Greek.
