Online seminar for the presentation of the Real Beneficiary Register system, March 26, 2021
Time: Tuesday 6 April 2021, time 15.30 – 16.30
The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry invites you to the online presentation of the interim solution that has been developed to facilitate the collection of beneficial owners information of corporate and other legal entities.
As already announced, data collection started on 16th March, 2021. The establishment of the Beneficial Owners Register results from the transposition into our national law of the 5th European Directive (EU 2018/843, of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018) on the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing.
The presentation will take place on Tuesday 6th April, 2021, from 15.30- 16.30. The objective is to present the interim system solution and answer users’ questions relating to the system’s functionalities and submission of data. The presentation will be prefaced by the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry Mrs. Natasa Pileidou.

Registration of Companies in Ariadne for access to the e-registration system of real beneficiaries, March 23, 2021
Following the Announcement, dated 16.03.21, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry informs companies that registration in Ariadne should be executed by the company’s officials, stating the company’s corporate e-mail. The registration process should not be executed by any other person acting on behalf of the company.
The username and password in Ariadne are confidential and should only be known to the profile holder.
In addition, it is noted that by obtaining a company profile companies gain access to other connected Government Services through Ariadne.

Prohibition of using a common Email Address
As from the 18/3/2021, during creation of a new profile, the use of an email address that has already been used for the creation of another profile will not be allowed.
In addition, when creating profiles for organizations/companies, the corporate email address of the company for which the profile is created should be filled in, in accordance with European directives regarding the general use of digital tools.

Obtaining access to the e-registration system for beneficial owners, March 16, 2021
It is noted that in order for each company to register the data of the beneficial owner in the system, it must obtain identification codes through Ariadne and then the company profile must be authenticated (click here for more details). Once the authentication is complete, then it will be possible to register the beneficial owner data in the system.
The authorisation codes provided to the companies from the Department of Registrar of Companies for the electronic registration of documents CANNOT be used for the system of beneficial owner.

Commencement of Beneficial Owners Register of Corporate and other legal entities – March 12, 2021
Further to the Announcement, dated 19.02.21, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry announces that the electronic service, Registration of beneficial owner particulars for companies and other legal entities will be available on 16.03.2021 under the section e-filing services of the Companies Section website.
For further information regarding the operation of the beneficial owner register you may refer to the relevant Directive of the Registrar of Companies (Κ.Δ.Π. 112/2021), which was published today (12.03.2021), in the Official Gazette of the Republic (Ε.Ε. Παρ. ΙΙΙ(Ι) ,Αρ. 5479), as well as to the Guidance for the Interim Solution of the Beneficial Ownership Register.
It is noted that , according to our Announcement, dated 19.02.2021, companies can begin to enter the details of their beneficial owner onto the interim system solution as of Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
